Yesterday marine litter, today Giant Posters. Available from blowUP media from March 2022: Green Line OCEAN, the most sustainable and innovative Giant Poster material on the market. This consists of 100% recycled material with 10% being SEAQUAL® MARINE PLASTIC. As part of SEAQUAL INITIATIVE, plastic marine litter is collected from the ocean and coastlines and processed – together with PET post-consumer waste – into certified SEAQUAL® YARN. The manufacture of the Giant Poster material made from 100% SEAQUAL® YARN and the production of the Giant Poster both take place in Germany. This ensures short transport routes and avoids emissions. Green Line OCEAN saves 77% CO2 emissions compared to the standard product.
„Sustainability is a matter close to our hearts. After introducing the PVC-free Green Line Giant Posters in 2021, we have now been able to improve our products again. Our Green Line OCEAN saves valuable resources and helps to clean the seas. 1 kg of SEAQUAL® YARN reduces marine litter by 0.6 – 1 kg. For a 500 m2 Giant Poster, that’s at least 55 kg of marine litter,” says Katrin Robertson, CEO of the blowUP media Group.
Whether through innovative materials such as Green Line OCEAN, the use of air-purifying technologies such as “The Pure” or Vertical Gardens around our advertising spaces, we at blowUP media are continuously striving to make our medium a win-win-win model – for brands, for society and for the environment.
SEAQUAL INITIATIVE – Together for a clean ocean
SEAQUAL INITIATIVE works with NGOs, fishermen, authorities and local communities to help clean our oceans. Marine litter from our beaches, ocean floor and surface, rivers and estuaries, is collected by clean-up programs. It is then sorted into different material types and the plastic portion is cleaned and transformed into SEAQUAL® MARINE PLASTIC. Manufacturers certified by the SEAQUAL INITIATIVE produce the high-tech yarn SEAQUAL® YARN from the collected waste, which is then processed by companies in numerous industries into sustainable products.
