blowUP media only produces PVC-free Giant Posters. The material used also consists of 100 percent recycled material. Valuable resources are conserved through weight savings of up to 56 percent and the use of production waste as recycling material.
In addition, “The Cube” was provided with an air-purifying coating – an ultra-thin, transparent layer of active titanium dioxide, which decomposes pollutants through photocatalytic properties. “The Pure” coating is effective against VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds), formaldehyde, benzenes, glycols, viruses, bacteria and many other toxic chemical compounds. A Giant Poster with an area of 500 square meters has an air-purifying effect of around 35 large deciduous trees.
blowUP media has been offsetting the remaining emissions since 2021 in cooperation with the climate protection agency natureOffice.
“The careful use of resources is a high priority for us. Our mission ‘Big Impact – Small Footprint’ drives us permanently. Saving and avoidance is the goal of our comprehensive sustainability activities. By using resource-saving materials, we are already significantly reducing the carbon footprint of campaigns. With the use of solar energy, we are taking another important step for our advertising clients and will continue to advance our activities in the future,” says Katrin A. Robertson, CEO of the blowUP media group.
For its Vertical Garden® (D)OOH locations, the World Out of Home Organization (WOO) presented the Sustainability Award 2023 to blowUP media at its annual conference. With the award, the World Out of Home Organization recognizes suppliers or out-of-home companies that have developed a business initiative, new product or breakthrough technology that advances the OOH industry in the area of sustainability.
